I was interviewed in the latest Connected Magazine.
Recently described as ‘Dublin’s answer to James Murphy’, Rob Costello is the main man from Sounds Of System Breakdown, purveyors of electro-pop par excellence. With an album release just around the corner, 2010 promises to be a biggie for SOSB.

Album Launch
Final album master is back from Masterlabs and it sounds great! We’ve booked our launch for the 30th of January in the Village. Support and ticket prices to be announced. Hopefully see you all there!
Thanks to everyone who came down to see us last night, you were loud and supportive and lovely! Also thanks a bunch to Angela and all the HWCH crew for another mental weekend. There’s a funny buzz to the weekend; all those furtive glances across the room between musicians and journalists and record company people, the semi-competitiveness of it all… in a good way though.
If anyone spots any photos or reviews or anything in the wild give us a shout. Back into studio tonight for FINAL MIX OF ALBUM! Exiting stuff.

Sounds of System Breakdown, Twisted Pepper, Sunday 18th October at 10:10pm
Twisted Pepper again! It feels like we’re doing an unofficial residency. Buy tickets here.
Other gigs coming up include the NCAD Freshers Ball with Le Galaxie, Rubber Bandits, The Hot Sprockets, The Fusion Family and much more tomorrow from 10pm (we’re on at 10:30) and DEAF / Sunday Roast in the Globe on Sunday 25th Ocotober. If you have a feed reader click the RSS button under “Upcoming Gigs” to the right to keep updated.

Hard Working Class Heroes
Thanks to everyone who had a listen to the album preview on our Breaking Tunes profile. We got accepted for the Hard Working Class Heroes festival and we’re currently no.19 on the chart on the HWCH website! The festival takes place in Temple Bar on the 16th, 17th and 18th of October. We’ll post more info on venues and times as we find out. Looking forward to rocking out!
A few shots from the gigs on the 8th and 20th of August in Twisted Pepper. Thanks to everyone who came along!

Get a sneaky preview of our debut album here. The more people that listen to it the higher our chances of getting in to Hard Working Class Heroes, so please listen to it all day everyday for the rest your life. Cheers!
Thanks to everyone who came to see us and danced their asses off on Friday night. Great turn out, and we had a great time. Photo’s and video will be following shortly.
The Highlight of the rest of the Festival for me (from what I can remember) was Rocket Surgery on Sunday on the Fish Stage. Skuzzi Port and the Hot Sprockets kicked ass also. Anyone have any other highlights?
Sounds of System Breakdown is pleased by its new website.
